Sometimes you just want a pot of soup with no prep - I love the Bear Creek Soup mixes for that...
Most of them you just add 8 cups of water (either on the stove or in the crockpot) and of course you can add other bits to it as well if you want but for $2-$3 / bag = 8 cups = no prep...they can be great.
